Countdown to Tanzania

Preparations are being made for the Tanzania Vision Trip 2013.  A brave and faithful group of 19 people will travel from the U.S. to visit our Lutheran friends throughout the Kilimanjaro region and also Bukoba in Western Tanzania, from June 12-26, 2013.  Some members of our group will stay for an extended time to volunteer at the Neema orphanage, which we have supported for many years.

This blog will go live as soon as the trip begins, so subscribe now or check back to follow along on this great adventure.

A “Vision Trip” is different from a “mission trip.”  The primary goal of a POP Vision Trip to Tanzania is to accept the gracious hospitality of our Lutheran partners there as they share with us how they live out their call to be the church in that incredible, beautiful and impoverished place.  We visit Lutheran schools, churches, hospitals and other places where the gospel is proclaimed and hope and healing are provided.

We also experience the breathtaking beauty and wildlife of the country on a safari into the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti

That’s what POP Vision Trips to Tanzania are all about.  They are life-changing journeys, full of wonder and adventure.

Plans are already underway for the 2014 Vision Trip, so now is the time to prayerfully consider whether this life changing experience may be for you!
